Biography

I received my Ph.D. in May 1987 from the University of Paris VII.
After a post-doc at the Mathematics Department of the University of Arizona, I was hired at CNRS in 1988.

Research Interests

Nonlinear waves: Alfvén Wave Dynamics

Patterns: Phase dynamics for Rayleigh-Bénard convection far from onset.
Rotating convection

Turbulence : compressible flows ; vortex tube formation

Astrophysical fluid dynamics:
Supersonic MHD turbulence in the ISM; statistics of density fluctuations and magnetic pressure

 Hydrodynamic modeling of bacterial colonies
