A global view of angular momentum and chemical transport from helio- and asteroseismic inversions

In this seminar, I will discuss how high-quality helio- and asteroseismic data allows to draw a global picture of the current uncertainties linked with the missing angular momentum transport in the Sun and stars. I will discuss how non-standard solar models allow us to test our current vision of the underlying physics of the transport mechanisms. I will present results on the “smoking gun” of lithium and beryllium depletion and how it may help us derive contraints on the transport on the main-sequence. I will also discuss how the results for the Sun help us infer precisely an “almost model-independent” radiative opacity profile in the solar radiative zone and how this solar problem is directly linked with the results of new inversions of the internal rotation profile of subgiant stars observed by Kepler.
