- The understanding of collisional processes between small bodies of our Solar System (asteroids, comets).
- The physical properties and dynamical evolution of asteroids in our Solar System. In particular, I contribute to the study of the specific population of the Near-Earth Asteroids (NEAs), their origin, their evolution, their impact probability with the Earth, the method to study them from the ground (modeling, observations) and from space, and mitigation strategies against an impact with the Earth.
- The formation of planets and in particular the role of collisions in our Solar System history.

- Responsable scientifique de la mission Hera dont le but est de mesurer l'effet de l'impact de la mission DART de la NASA sur le satellite naturel de l’astéroïde double Didymos afin de valider la technique de déviation d'astéroïde appelé impacteur cinétique (impact en Octobre 2022 par DART, caractérisation de la cible et effet de l'impact en 2027).
- Responsable scientifique du rover CNES-DLR qui sera déployé en 2026 par la mission japonaise MMX sur la lune Phobos de Mars.
- Membre (Co-I) de la Science Team de la mission spatiale de retour d’échantillon d’un astéroïde OSIRIS-Rex sélectionnée dans le programme New Frontiers de la NASA (lancement en 2016).
