Galaxy formation and evolution, gas kinematics in galaxies, and the interplay of galaxy interactions, and feedback from star formation and active galactic nuclei in gas heating and the regulation of star formation. Active galactic nuclei and radio jets. Dual/binary supermassive black holes and the evolution towards black-hole black hole merger following the merger of the host galaxy. Extensive track record in observations from the optical, near, mid, and far infrared to the millimeter and centimeter radio. Imaging spectroscopy and radio interferometry.
